Jennifer Urbaniak Appointed New Director of Jewell County Community Development Association
The Jewell County Community Development Association (JCCDA) is pleased to announce Jennifer Urbaniak's appointment as its new Director. She started on January 6th, 2025.
In this position, Jennifer will lead economic development initiatives, help with grant programs, and foster community partnerships. She will work closely with local businesses, government officials, and community members to identify and implement strategies that enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in Jewell County.
“I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work towards a future where Jewell County is a vibrant place for people to live and prosper, a place I've always been proud to call home,” said Jennifer.
Jennifer graduated from Mankato Jr/Sr High School and Fort Hays State University. She resides in Mankato with her husband, Vincent, and their dog, Lucy.
Urbaniak takes on this role from the outgoing coordinator, Kyra (Lampe) Gritten, who has transitioned into a full-time role with the Jewell County Community Foundation as its Director. “I’m thrilled to have Jennifer on board as the new Director of JCCDA,” Gritten stated. “I’m confident she will excel in this role and continue leading the organization in a positive direction. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience that will serve JCCDA well. JCCDA is in very good hands.”
Gritten will remain with the organization in a part-time capacity and work closely with Urbaniak to assist in the transition and implementation of programs and strategic initiatives.
