On Monday, June 20th, the Jewell County Historical Society began renovation of their museum, along with help from Jewell County Community Development. Follow our progress on Facebook and Instagram.

Registered as a State and National Historic Building in 1995, the Jewell County Jail was in operation from 1899-1982. The building is made of Kansas Limestone, much like several other historic Jewell county buildings.

The Palmer Museum strives to tell the historical story of Jewell, Kansas and surrounding communities.
