Formoso City Park

With new park equipment installed in 2020 and a tennis court, this is a hub for the Formoso Community. It also features equipment for handicapped and disabled park users.

Formoso Skating Rink

The skating rink is a non-profit organization owned by Formoso Pride and is ran by volunteers. It is open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from October to April.

Burr Oak City Park

Located within walking distance to the library and downtown, this is a great place to take the kids to play!

Esbon City Park

As a community-wide effort, the City of Esbon updated its park in 2017 and it continues to serve as a popular spot in downtown Esbon.

Maag Memorial Park

Located in the heart of Jewell on the downtown square, Maag Memorial Park is a staple in the community. It is a great place to bring the kids to play or talk a few laps around. To top it off, It hosts community events, the summer farmer’s market and much more!

Mankato City Park

Complete with a playground, sand volleyball courts, a picnic shelter, and the Robert Turner Concert Stage (link to the page that has this info) this is the perfect place for a day of family fun. As an added bonus, the Mankato City Park is right next to the swimming pool and Mankato Trails for even more outdoor adventures!

Mankato Swimming Pool

The only swimming pool in Jewell county, this is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day. As an added bonus, it’s adjacent to Mankato City Park and walking trail, and is a great location for a day of family fun.

Mankato/Jewell Trails

Did you know that Kansas has more gravel roads than any other state? Gravel trails cycling is the next big thing in tourism and you can do that right here in Jewell County!

KANcycle Bike Sharing

KANcycle, a program of OCCK, provides North Central Kansas with convenient, affordable access to bicycles as an easy, fun, healthy and eco-friendly means of transportation and recreation.

Lovewell Lake

Lovewell Lake & State Park in northcentral Kansas is a haven for outdoor lovers who look for variety in their vacations. Just 18 miles northeast of Mankato on US Hwy 36.

Jewell State Fishing Lake

Surrounded by grassland hills, Jewell State Lake was constructed primarily as a fishing area. This normally heavily used lake is between Glen Elder and Lovewell Reservoirs and provides a sheltered retreat not found on the bigger waters.

Lake Emerson

Less than a quarter of a mile west of the City of Jewell, Lake Emerson is a great place to take an evening stroll or spend a day fishing.
